A new fourth set of tee boxes, built from scratch starting this Spring, are now open for play. Legacy Contributions totaling $41,500 were made thru The Friends of CDA Public Golf Club Foundation, Inc. and provided to the CDA Public Golf Club to cover the entire costs of construction.
Several purposes were accomplished with the completion of the additional 18 new tee boxes:
- No other course in the area offers a full and challenging PGA rated 18-hole course of 4,280 yards which aids in providing continued development and enjoyment for public golf patrons.
- Provides playing options based on player abilities.
- Provides aging players (whose swing speeds limit and reduce their driving carry distances) the ability to play and sometimes reach greens in regulation. Many of the courses aging members, who thought their playing days had passed, are again back and enjoying the game.
- Aids in the continued development and growth of the game through youth. The Orange-Tee locations will be used for the courses PGA Junior League tournament competitions.
